Carolyn Yvonne Weston was born in Mobile, Alabama on June 29, 1948 to Leona Taylor and Joe Henry Abrams. When she was eight years old, her family moved to Long Beach, California where they studied the bible with and became baptized Jehovah’s Witnesses. As a teenager, she became a regular pioneer who spent many hours in the door to door ministry. In 1969, she married Donovan Weston, a fellow pioneer in her congregation and they continued in the pioneer ministry together. Later they welcomed their son Aaron Weston and later after moving to Las Vegas, they welcomed their daughter Desiree Weston (Engler). Carolyn was known for her love of jewelry, dark chocolate (with nuts) and champagne. She loved to collect antiques and other collectibles. She loved her role as a grandmother and dearly loved her grandchildren Teo Gonzales Lizarraga, Chloe Engler and Logan Engler.
She is survived by her husband Donovan Lee Weston and her two children: Aaron Weston and his wife Sasha Weston and also her daughter Desiree Engler (Weston) along with her husband Jeff Engler.
She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Effie Abrams, Julia Anderson, Jocelyn Brown, Joseph Prevo, Roderick Prevo, Roland Prevo Jr., and Barney Prevo.
She was predeceased by her mother Leona Prevo, her stepfather Roland Prevo Sr. and her sister Gail Adkins.
My sincerest sympathies and condolences! Carolyn was a very special friend and sister. Her love for Jehovah and encouragement was an inspiration and she be missed deeply.
I will miss my dear friend. We did so many things together over the years. To see her again and hear her laugh will be something I am looking forward to. It won’t be a long a wait. Only long enough for her to take a refreshing nap…

I love my dear sister, I am so saddened by her death. I will see you in the new system when we go to the resurrection, I will be there and say hi Carolyn I made it too. There will be no more sickness or dying, I have known you for many years, even though I didn’t see or talk to you, everyday but I would speak to you at the Kingdom Hall and I always knew you were there.
