Daniel Wayne (Danny/DT) Thompson of Las Vegas, Nevada died unexpectedly on October 24, 2020 with his family by his side.
He was born January 3, 1954 in Joplin, Missouri to Robert and Patricia (Campbell) Thompson. As a young boy, he moved with his family from Missouri to California and later to Las Vegas, Nevada. On October 11, 2006 he married his best friend, Denise Scollon in Las Vegas, Nevada.
For 21 years, Danny excelled as a top tire salesman and was highly regarded as a strategic manager having worked for Purcell Tire, Midas of Las Vegas, and Frias Transportation. He retired in January 2020 with a goal of buying a trailer so he and Denise could enjoy the good life traveling the country.
Danny was a fun-loving, kind, and compassionate man who was well loved by his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
Danny is survived by his loving wife Denise, daughter Brittany (Avrum Harris) Cooper of Pennsylvania, brother Tim (Sarahetta) Thompson of Las Vegas, sister Debbie (Don) Palmer of Las Vegas, brothers-in law, Jim (Marlene) Scollon of Las Vegas, and Mike (Darlene) Scollon of Colorado, sisters-in-law, Marion (Chuck) Steed of Idaho and Pat (Steve) Elliott of Las Vegas, Aunt Shirly (Sue) Stinson of Texas, grandchildren, Sullivan, Delaney and Mayva Cooper and Richard Harris, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved cat, Bobo. Danny was preceded in death by his parents and brother Patrick Thompson.
