Age 85, was born on October 22, 1936 in Hamakua Coast on the Big Island, HI. She graduated from Farrington High School and attended Leeward Community College in Honolulu, O’ahu. Elizabeth married the love of her life, Emeterio “Terry” Alcoriza Centeno, Sr. on May 25, 1956 and settled in Nanakuli, O’ahu in 1960. Together, they raised four children.
Liz primarily spent her life being a homemaker for her four children and intermittently worked at Young Laundry, Nakatani’s Drive Inn and took pride in being a carpenter who helped to build the Makaha Towers in Wai’anae. She was an active member of Nana’ikapono Protestant Church and enjoyed fellowship with the Waipahu United Church of Christ, Pearl City Community Church, the Visayan Club Waipahu, and a community member of the Golden Ages Club. On her free time, she and her husband enjoyed being a part of the Bayanihan Dance Company where they enjoyed Filipino cultural dancing.
Liz and Terry moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2007.
Liz peacefully gained her angel wings at home on June 27, 2022. She is survived by her children Terrylisa (Matt) Barrows, Timothy Centeno, Lourene Arce, and Lois Centeno; grandchildren Timothy (Kau’i), Anthony, Norman (Carribea), Kai (Jennica), Shaun, Justin (Sheri Lyn), Deborah (Justin); and great-grandchildren Xayden, Chase, Tristan, Harper, Olive, Ezekiel, La’akea, Gideon, Kimo, Makana, and Caleb.
