Finley Jun Hernandez Tabaniag passed away, on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, NV. At the time of his passing, Finley was surrounded by loved ones with his young daughter by his side holding his hand. He was prayed over with gospel music playing as everyone said their goodbyes.
Finley was born on March 14, 1981, in Honolulu, HI, to his mother Lydia Hernandez Tabaniag, who preceded him in death, and his father Delfin Martinez Tabaniag. He was the oldest of two children, with his younger sister Vanessa Hernandez Tabaniag. He was raised in Honolulu and lived there until moving to Las Vegas with his family in 2014. He was together and married to Iandell Tabaniag for 21 years and together they have a 13 year old daughter, Sofia Jolie Tabaniag. He and Iandell have since divorced, but remained close in friendship up to his passing.
He was a courier/driver for over 20 years. He loved to drive and enjoyed fixing and building his Type-R Integra car. He enjoyed helping his friends with their cars and has been a part of “Vision In Progress Racing”, a longstanding group of friends of over 20 years, who were like family to him. He loved to BBQ and eat out and hang with friends and made every effort to watch and support his daughter during her multiple dance performances when he could.
He will be having a memorial here in Las Vegas on April 22nd, 10a at Awaken Las Vegas chapel for his friends and family to attend in Las Vegas and will be having a second memorial in Honolulu on May 2nd, 10a at Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa following burial at Hawaiian Memorial. He will be laid to rest alongside his mother, whom he loved deeply.
