Giorgio “Gigi” DiBella was a loving and caring father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He left this earth suddenly on January 29, 2022, at age 74.
He was born to Giuseppina and Giovanni DiBella on August 7, 1947, in Caccamo, Sicily. Mr. DiBella came to the United States when he was 16 years old looking for a better life and found it. He worked his way from pizza shop to pizza shop throughout the US. He opened his own restaurant in 1975 and had it for eighteen years. Mr. DiBella is survived by his stepdaughter, Sharon, daughters, Christina and Joanna, and grandchildren.
Mr. DiBella was a very charming and charismatic man. He could entertain a room with stories of his days as a young man in America or serenade you with an aria. He enjoyed catching a good movie starring Tyrone Power, Charlton Heston, or W.C. Fields.

Dear Joanna and Christina I am your cousin Ginetta, daughter of Giovanna, sister of your father.
All my family is deeply sorry for your dad’s death. We loved him very much and for my mother he was more than a brother, he was like a son.
For me and my sisters he was the favorite uncle. when we were little girls he always played with us. Unforgettable. Distance and time do not cancel the great love we had for him.
To commemorate his death, my mother made the bells ring in all the churches in Caccamo where he was born.
it is a custom of the country so that all those who have known him can pray for him.
