Judy Schafer Taylor (79) of Reno NV passed away April 16, 2023 after a 2 year long illness.
Judy was born in Ohio to Dr. and Mrs Donald Schafer. The family relocated to southern CA where Judy enjoyed the sunshine filled life of a California teenager.
Judy attended the University of Colorado, Boulder and after marrying Larry Taylor, completed her Masters program at University of Nevada Reno.
Larry and Judy owned and operated Larry Taylor’s Instant Print in Reno, Sparks, Boise and Honolulu for 30 yrs, before retiring in 1999.
Their lovely home on Holiday Lane in SW Reno was the perfect setting for large family gatherings, holidays and showing off the fruits of Larry’s gardening skills and Judy’s culinary skills.
Judy’s many interests included traveling (both foreign and domestic) reading and writing. (Her 6 books are available on Amazon.)
Judy is survived by her corgi Zookie, brother Donald Schafer (Dale) CA, stepdaughter Shannon Damon (John) Reno, granddaughter Rachael Taylor, Sparks, NV, stepson Larry Taylor, Jr (Sandy) AZ, grandson James Taylor (Alicia) and granddaughter Ashley Donde (Sean), great grandchildren and cousins.
She is predeceased by her parents and husband.
Her generous heart and witty sense of humor is greatly missed.
