Lois Jean Skroch

Died: March 6, 2020 Reno, Nevada

She was 89 years old at the time of her passing.

Lois was one of five children born to Fay and Nellie Brunson. She graduated from White Pine High in 1948 and was married to Gerard Fisher in 1950. They had three children. In 1961 they moved to Sparks, NV where they raised their three children, moving to Reno in 1968. In 1974 she and Gerard were divorced.

In 1977 she married Charles Skroch. Several years later she took a disability/early retirement from Nevada Bell. After residing in Reno for many years, she and her husband moved to Rathdrum, Idaho. They lived in Idaho until the late 80’s when they made the move to Las Vegas where they lived for approximately 10 years. In 2001 they moved back to Reno to be closer to her family. They lived together until his passing in February 2019.

She enjoyed baking, cross stitching, gardening, walking and taking care of her many dogs and cats over the years. After returning to Reno, her favorite thing to do each morning was to take treats to all the dogs she met on her walk through her neighborhood and the nearby park.

She is survived by a brother, sister, two children, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
