Makelika Denise Schnose
Cherished Daughter, Little Sister,
Sister-in-law, Auntie, Granddaughter, & Friend
Makelika Denise Schnose, 35, made her grand entrance into the world on June 15,
1986 in Honolulu enroute to the hospital. She attended school in South Dakota, Hawaii,
and Las Vegas where she graduated with honors.
Her smile would light up a room and lift your heart. Makelika was fearless, adventurous,
with such a kind and fierce heart, she made everyone in her life a priority. She was also
the most loyal and loving person to have by your side or fighting in your corner. We
have lost our loving companion, a best friend…our baby girl.
She made beautiful memories with family and friends by doing what she loved,
camping, fishing, celebrating events and holidays, going to reggae and Hawaiian
concerts, and traveling the world.
Makelika was devoted to her family, especially her two nephews, who she spoiled any
chance she could. She groomed them to be Green Bay Packers fans just like her. She
was the best Auntie in the world.
Makelika was proud of her Japanese, German and Samoan heritage and delighted to
find out she had a little Viking in her. She shined like the beautiful, glittering, rainbow
unicorn princess that she was. It was a privilege to have her in our lives. Her love and
light was so great, it will remain bright in all our hearts forever.
She is survived by her brother Ben, sister-in-law Monica, nephews Dante and Cain,
grandfather Gene, and mother Denise with whom she resided with. A celebration of life
was held at Christ Lutheran Church in Las Vegas.
