Michael J. DeLong was born November 4th, 1990 to Jon & Rosie DeLong in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Mike loved to play, loved good food, loved to party, and loved to laugh. He was fun to be around and always had lots of friends.
Mike was really smart and a good student. He was popular and well liked in school. He played 4 years of football for Clark High School (#50) and was on Homecoming Court his senior year.
Mike passionately loved football. One of the highlights of his life was going to California to watch USC games with his friend and teacher, Steve Gotkin. Mike was the world’s greatest Minnesota Vikings fan, and dreamed about the day he could watch them play at our new stadium.
Mike worked as a mail carrier, and really liked his co-workers and customers. He was dedicated, but he always made sure his days off fell during any Vikings play-off games, and the day after the Super Bowl.
Mike’s greatest accomplishment was his son, Joshua. He always had a special smile on his face when he talked about Joshua. He loved their time together, it was what mattered the most to him.
In heaven, Mike will join his Grandpa Bill Woods, Grandparents Jerry & Barbara DeLong, his cousin Cole, and other loved ones.
He is survived by his parents, Jon & Rosie DeLong, grandma Linda Woods, cousin/brother Kevin Whaley, many aunties, uncles, cousins, friends, and his beloved Joshua.
Mike’s heart was as big as his smile.
We will miss you forever Mikey.
