Larry Gualdarama

Larry Gualdarama, aged 76, passed away on September 20, 2023 in the home that he loved in Sparks, NV surrounded by family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Larry was born on October 18, 1947 in Honolulu, HI, and grew up in Aiea and Wahiawa, HI. After graduating from Leilehua High School in 1965 he went on to become a Sgt in the United States Airforce and served from 1965 to 1971 and was stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam war. After marriage he moved to the mainland, California and spent his later years in San Jose. He worked for Hawaiian Telephone Company for 5 years and AT&T in Cable Maintenance for 41 years. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others. He later retired to Sparks, NV.
But more than anything, Larry was a devoted husband and father. He loved spending time with wife, children and grandchildren. He loved to barbeque, gather together and talk stories. He was also an amazing cook.
In his free time, Larry enjoyed caring for his home and watching Star Wars and Big Bang Theory, and he was always eager to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others.
Larry is preceded in death by his father Lorenzo Gualdarama, mother Virginia Gualdarama and brother Andrew Gualdarama. He is survived by his loving wife, Christine Gualdarama, his children, Warren Gualdarama, Reytina Lindquist, and Elena Poirier, his grandchildren, Katrina, Alexandria, Robert, Mishaela, and Kiah, ten great grandchildren and sisters Rosemary Leesburg and Frances Mitte. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
A private Celebration of Life will be held for family and close friends on October 18, 2024.
