Virginia Connolly Sharland

Virginia Connolly Sharland was born June 19, 1942. She was the only child of Marguerite Ryan Connolly and Thomas Connolly. She was born at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Dorchester.  Virginia graduated from Archbishop William High School in 1960.  She went on to marry and raise her family in the quiet of the suburbs.  Virginia lived more than three decades as a resident of Hanson, Ma.  Fairwood Drive holds a host of memories for our close knit neighborhood, a place where her children developed cherished lifelong friendships.  She was an active member of the St. Joseph The Worker Parish where her family attended Mass each Sunday.  She held many jobs through the years always serving to impart her organized skillset on her workplace. In 1996, Virginia relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada in search of greener pastures.  She was employed by Westfield Eye Center for many years until her retirement just a few years ago.  She remained in Nevada, where she died on July 2, 2021 at the age of 79.  Virginia leaves behind her devoted son, Michael of Nevada.  Patty Stewart and her family of Whitman, Ma. Chistopher Sharland and his family of Somers, CT.  Her daughter, Kathy Duggan, and her family reside in Ireland.  A funeral in her honor will be held at St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church in Hanover, Massachusetts on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 10:00 am.
