    Dear Judge,
I’m glad I had the privilege of working with you in the courts. You were a great boss.
Seeing you at the vet before you moved was a blessing.
Prayers for the Edith and the boys.

    Dear Mrs. Edith de Silva,
I want to pass my deepest sympathy to you and your family in the passing of Mr. Paul de Silva. He was a very very good school teacher, great Prosecutor and a very fair honest Judge. I had Mr. de Silva from 7th to 9th grade at Waiakea Kai school. He also was my JPO advisor, and it was through Mr. de Silva I was able to have my first eye glass from Waiakea Lion’s Club, and I still donate to them till this day. Mr de Silva saw my need for eye glass, my parents didn’t see that need for me. And he help many of us with good advice, I was and always will be forever thankful and grateful. I will always remember you both always. GOD Bless you in CHRIST. Daisy K. (Namauu) Nakamoto

I just recently found out that Paul passed away. I did not see an obituary published in the Staradvertiser but I saw this online. I know I am two years late but my sincere condolences to the ‘ohana. My mother JoJo is Paul’s first cousin. Paul told me stories about my grandfather Carlos Raimundo deSilva, about the deSilva family, and even gave to me a copy of the diary of the deSilva family maid Mary Farias. Mahalo to him for that. He is missed.
