Peter Savino Jr passed away on September 1, 2020 in Las Vegas, NV at the age of 75.
He was a talented drummer who played by ear and also enjoyed cooking and baking Italian family recipes.
Peter leaves behind his son, Peter III and his daughter-in-law Susan as well as his brother Santo. He will miss his grandsons Zachary (age 13) and Carson (age 9).
Peter will be remembered as a US Navy veteran and a well-known drummer in Las Vegas.
He will be greatly missed.

As growing up natives of Las Vegas, we had the honor of knowing the Savino family. We send our heartfelf condolences to Jennifer, Christopher, June & Santos and the immediate members of “Uncle Pete’s” family. We love you all and send prayers of comfort and peace.

Pete was a good friend aboard the Carrier “Saratoga” in the Mediterranean Ocean 1967 he was the drummer for a soul band called the Sandpipers, I was one of the guitar players, we also had Ray Fasion singer bass player , Ray Johnson sax, But we had another sax player that’s played the baritone sax, Elisha pitts trumpet, Gary butler trumpet, Sam Cash the most fabulous singer I ever knew, Smitty guitar, the band was call “Sandpipers”
We were on the front pages of the Paris newspaper after a show in Toulon France.. If anyone has any of the pictures he had of the bank I’d love to get a copy…Aloha, Bart McCollough

I was fortunate to play along side Pete in “Jones”. He also was quit a character. A huge loss for Vegas music.
