It is with great sadness to announce Peter Yandric, age 80 passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at Infinity Hospice in Las Vegas. He was born July 15, 1939 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Son of Louis and Mary Yandric (Stanar). Pete attended Columbia Military Academy in Tennessee from 1955 to 1958. He returned home for his senior year and graduated from Steelton High School in 1959. Pete was a standout football player and went on to play at El Camino Jr. College in Torrence, CA. In 1969 Pete moved to Las Vegas where he worked in the casino industry. He began his career downtown Las Vegas and went on to work at several properties throughout his career as a Casino Executive. Pete was a loving father who enjoyed teaching and watching his two sons experience life. Pete’s biggest passion and pride later in life, was watching his grandchildren Parker, Tyler, Maddie and Mikey play sports which included baseball, football, lacrosse and volleyball. He was so proud of them and loved being their personal “Coach”, whether they wanted it or not. Pete will kindly be remembered by family and friends as a distinguished pessimist and self described medical doctor who gave advice to everyone whether they wanted it or not.
He is preceded in death by this parents Louis and Mary (Stanar)Yandric, Sister Dorothy Vujasinovich, Brother Louis Jr.
Pete is survived by his two sons Mark, Daughter-In-Law Joni and their children Parker (19), Tyler (17). Michael and his children Madeline (18), Michael (16) all residences of Las Vegas, Nevada. Sister Yvonne of Harrisburg Pennsylvania. Plus lots of nieces, nephews and extended family that loved him.
Final resting place will be Palm Northwest, in Las Vegas Nevada. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic services will be private.
