It is with great sadness that the family of Philip Kinney announce his passing. On June 13th Philip Kinney of Sparks NV passed away at the age of 68 after a brief battle with cancer. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 37 years; Tudie, his children, Christopher (Michelle), Jessica (Brandon), Travis (Britni); his grandchildren Maverick and Nicholas, as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Philip was born in Northern California and took up the trade of painting at a young age. He met his wife in Las Vegas, NV and they move to Sparks in 1982. They were married in downtown Reno in 1986. He was a godly and caring man, who would build items for others and would help in any way he could. Philip was a passionate person who enjoyed camping, the beach, spending time with family and watching Nascar. He was a diehard Chicago Bears fan and a member of the Nevada Wolf Pack Zonies in the 90’s.
In keeping with his nature, a private celebration of life will be held at Flowing Tide Pub on Sunday June 18th 2023. At this time the family is requesting privacy as they grieve and heal together.

I am missing you so much I love you
My best friend and brother Phil so many fond memories I will be laughing and crying till my end is here, thinking of our times together. I am so grateful to have the time I did have with him. One of a kind
Missing my best friend and brother Phil. He was one of a kind and I feel privileged to be his friend because he was a good judge of people, the friends he had were good friends. This man was fun loving and would stand up to anyone that was a threat to him or his family. He was a caring person that loved his wife and children. I say he was one of a kind because he was a loving caring person that was also a hell raiser when the time fit him. He helped me out so many times and was so talented he could fix almost anything. Wish he was here to help me now, I miss him and the way he was.
I miss you a lot
