Robert Leslie Gullion

Robert Leslie Gullion, age 51, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Born on May 28, 1972, in Madison, Indiana, Rob leaves behind a legacy that echoes through the hearts of those he touched.

Rob is survived by his beloved fiancé, Heather, his cherished sons Nathan, Peyton, and Connor, his devoted sister LeeAnne and brother-in-law Howard, as well as his nieces Alex, Kaitlyn, Laney, Cearra, and Ellie. He also leaves behind his precious granddaughter, Paisley.

A dedicated Equipment Mechanic at the University of Nevada Reno, Rob was not just a master of his trade, but a man of remarkable passion and skill. His love for old barns and anything with a motor was surpassed only by his ability to mend and restore them. His latest accomplishment of designing and building his shop was one of his greatest prides. It is a true testament to his unwavering attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Rob’s passion for life extended far beyond his workbench. Some of his greatest adventures included exploring Europe and ziplining the mountains in Maui. His most recent passion was for off-roading and camping where he traveled the western states finding the perfect sand dunes and exploring the back country with family and friends. His devotion to family and close friends was unwavering

Rob’s philosophy—“If it was worth doing, it was worth doing it right”—echoes in the way he lived every facet of his life. His warmth, wisdom, and the twinkle in his eye when discussing his passions will forever be etched in the memories of those who knew him.

For over a decade, Heather and Rob shared a bond fortified by love, resilience, and unwavering support. Their journey together was a testament to their enduring commitment and affection.

Rob’s departure from this earth has left an unfillable void, a testament to a life lived to its fullest. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. A celebration of his remarkable life will be held at a future date, allowing those who loved him to come together and honor his memory.

May the legacy of his kindness, dedication, and passion for life continue to inspire us all. Rest in peace, Rob.

  • Rob will be missed and the little time that I was fortunate to spend with him was a blessing and the highlight was in 2017 when Rob and Peyton shaved their heads with our St. Baldricks team raising money for children’s cancer research. Life is short and reach out to those you love tell them how much you love them!

If I could’ve given you one thing in life, I’d given you the ability to see yourself through my eyes. Only then would you realize how special you are to me. You are so brave, talented, strong, smart, thoughtful, sensitive and funny. There is no better friend than a Brother and no better Brother than You, my hero. Thank you. I will always miss you big lil Baby. ♡Sissy
